Yeah, I actually read up on the photoshop import section before posting. The only tid bit about layer groups is:

Photoshop layer groups are imported as individual compositions.

Doesn’t really say if it will import its layer mask…..hmmm.

—I made some luma mattes of the actual layer mask as a work around, but still wonder if this is possible

Yeah, I know you can drag from the object menu, but it splits the scene objects into individuals pieces. Unless you parent everything to a null.

Was just curious if you can import a .c4d file.

Crisis diverted.
If anyone has trouble with aec files from 10.506 make sure you have the up to date plug in. I thought mine was up to date, per I have never had any problems.

Im curious about this too. I always get this thin line when applying an Object Buffer as an Luma Matte.

Any proper procedures to avoid or fix this?
