  • Hair and Light Exclusion?

Posted by Jon Herron on November 9, 2009 at 5:22 pm

I have a sphere with hair on it. All is fine except I can’t get certain lights to exclude themselves from illuminating the hair.

    Light options
    Using the Scene>Mode>Exclude>Object

If I turn the light on and off it effects the hair illumination. Why wont it exlude the HAIR.

    Thanks and advance

Hair/light interaction is controlled elsewhere since it’s a post effect. Either add lights to Render Settings/Effects/Hair Render/Lights – Exclude or add a Light tag (right-click on the light choose Hair Tags/Light) to the light(s) you want to exclude and uncheck Include.
