Curious if there is a way to fill a spline shape with mograph clones.

I realize the spline effector allows for attaching to the spline itself, is there a way to fill it????

i.e: A text spline filled with evenly spaced cubes.

    thanks

yes, cloner in object mode and use the spline as the object

That’s pretty much going to do the same thing as the spline effector.

The only way I can think to do it would be to extrude the spline, make it editable, weld the caps, and use the resulting object in a volume effector set to control visibility.

EDIT: it seems that you don’t have to convert the extrude to polygons to use it in a volume effector, which is great as it keeps things parametric.

Cool, got that to work. Thanks for the tip.

One question how do you set the volume effector to control visibility? …maybe im overlooking a setting

    Thanks again!

ahh, fill the empty space, not fill the spline….

Check the visibility box in the effector’s parameters tab.
