We have successfully moved sequences using the FCP XML workaround, but only between releases that are right “next door” to each other. i.e., 2015.4 to 2015.3.

Alternatively, select ALL clips you do not want audio for in the bins.

Right-Click and select “Modify–>Audio Channels”

Change the “number of audio tracks” to zero. Save that setting with a name of your choice. (I called mine “No audio, please!”)

You have now globally changed it for all selected files. When you pull them into the Source monitor or timeline, you will have no audio tracks at all.

The key to this may be settings when you created the sequence you will be placing the media into.

Changing some settings in the tabs may well provide you with a blank sequence ready to accept your footage the way you would like.

One other thing – any audio? If so, is any of it MP3 files?

If you do have MP3 audio files, convert them to uncompressed WAV using Audition and replace the MP3 files with the WAV files.

Isaiah, how are you bringing your footage into the project?

If you are using the Windows dialog to import (CTRL+I or CMD+I) try using the Premiere Pro Media Browser instead.

In many instances, Media Browser will detect spanned clips, and automatically import them “stitched together” for you.

If you are already using Media Browser, well, I’m a little stumped.

Sure, it happens sometimes. I’ll do a save, quit, shutdown the computer and do a cold boot. Generally resolves it.

Here’s what I would do, as it resolves most import issues. That said, I have not worked with your camera.

1. Take the camera media and make a full copy, including all folders/file structure, to your hard drive. I usually make media folders within my project folder structure.

2. In Premiere Pro, use the Premiere Pro Media Browser (NOT Windows or Mac file management) and navigate to the media folder. Premiere Pro’s media browser is designed to recognize most camera storage file structures and will then drill down, with no effort from you, to show your media. Then select and drag it into your project bin(s).

Like I mentioned, I have not used your camera, so your mileage may vary. But Premiere Pro’s Media Browser is the solution to the majority of import issues.
