This is only a guess, based on an experience I had early on.
Premiere Pro generates a couple of different files having to do with audio tracks; one of them has a .pek file extension. There’s another, but I am not in front of the system and cannot remember what it is. Perhaps someone will chime in on that.
Preferences permit you to instruct the system to keep those files with your media, but it may default to dropping them in a folder on your install drive, if you have not re-directed them in Preferences. These may be filling up your C drive; it happened to us before we understood this.
Do a search on your C drive for .pek files and see if you have a huge pile of them. You can sort by date and delete old ones. Premiere Pro will re-generate these files as needed if you restore an old project.
These are not very specific instructions, because I do not have the system in front of me. Hopefully they will get you started and others will chime in!

Regrettably, we do not yet have AME. This is a standalone copy of AE (I know, I know, crazy).
We’ll have the full suite coming soon, but not quite yet. We’ll see if an h.264 will tide us over until we have more options.
Thank you for your quick response!

Hi Neil, we need more information. What type of file does the camera you used produce? What, if any were the options set on the camera for recording?

Hi Jerry, please break down your explanation of what are seeing/hearing in greater detail.
What I am understanding is – your cutting your main camera(s) for content and length, then simply covering the cuts with b roll of congregation cutaway. Cutaway shots are video only. Am I on track?
Are you dropping your cutaway shots as overwrites on video layer 1? Or using layer two to give you easy change options?
You say the sequence itself shows up in the SOURCE monitor???

May 30, 2013 at 3:06 pm in reply to: Any way to change default properties associated with a video transition?I am not in front of the system, so I cannot give the menu specifics to to you. But I would set up the effect the way I want it, then save it as one of the custom effects (at the top of the effect list). Then use it again and again!

October 23, 2008 at 6:56 pm in reply to: Can an ATI HD 4870 video card run Avid Media Composer?Well, it’s a toss up, but you are likely to have problems. Or, it may be OK at first, but later issues will start to ramp up.
Avid is very particular about hardware. If you want to be editing instead of troubleshooting, go with Avid’s recommendations.
You will want to check your build against Avid’s other specifications too.

Make sure the dongle goes with it.
You can certainly sell it. If you had Avid Assurance, that must be transferred, but otherwise you can simply sell the software, I believe.

OK, I’m back with my name and everything. No one has any guesses at all?
