I’m inserting about 200 instances of a video transition (Iris Shapes). It’s quick to advance to the next edit point in the timeline + insert the transition using keyboard shortcuts – down arrow, then crtl-D.

However, instead using the transition’s default shape + number of shapes, I’m selecting alternate shape + number. I can’t find a way, after changing the transition’s properties, to set them as the new defaults, so I have to change them manually for each instance of the transition. Does anyone know if there is a way to change default settings?

    Thanks for any suggestions,
    Margarita

I am not in front of the system, so I cannot give the menu specifics to to you. But I would set up the effect the way I want it, then save it as one of the custom effects (at the top of the effect list). Then use it again and again!
