Are you referring to the fact that those shots at those two point are not full screen? What was used to shoot those?

  • I always ask myself, “What is my deliverable?”. If my finished product is 1080 (or even 720 still) that is how I set up my edit timeline. Then I don’t have to worry about conversion. And if I shot 4K, I have virtual zoom and re-frame options. If I don’t need to move or re-frame, I just right-click and use “set to frame size”.

    That’s just me.

One key element missing from our description is your media storage. Drives – type, number, connections?

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2017.1 (as of 8/2017)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from UHD MP4, HD MP4, and HD P2 MXF.

This is just my humble opinion.

We are all beta testers for Adobe now. I choose to stay at least one full version back. (Even more now, since we need our systems replaced.) When we upgrade, Adobe has moved on to the next versions, where we all help work out the bugs.

    I’d rather just edit.

This is just me. Not everyone does the same thing.

Tell us more detail about your computer and storage (see my signature for example information.) I can tell you to start that 8GB of RAM is way too low for Premiere Pro or the Adobe CC apps. I would recommend a minimum of 32GB.

If you are by chance storing your footage and editing on the same hard drive the OS and apps are on, that is also a big no-no.

Lastly a question: what is the source of your footage? Any phone footage? If so, what make/model phone?

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2017.1 (as of 8/2017)

We need more information. To start, what format is the original audio? Next, what are your render settings?

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2017.1 (as of 8/2017)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from UHD MP4, HD MP4, and HD P2 MXF.

  • Do you have a audio track active/selected in your timeline track patching when audio fails to go to the timeline?

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2017.1 (as of 8/2017)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from UHD MP4, HD MP4, and HD P2 MXF.
