Canon c500 and Odyssey 7Q+ Workflow with Premiere Pro CC
Hey everyone,
I’m editing a piece that was shot on the Canon c500 in 2k 12 bit Uncompressed. The files are ProRes 4444XQ and were recorded with the Odyssey 7Q+. The issue I’m having is that I have a bunch of split clips from the recorder and I’m having trouble merging them properly in Premiere. I can’t merge or create subclips with more than one clip and an audio track. It still doesn’t work when I nest the split clips.
Anyone have any recommendations for how to best sync all my files with this file structure?

Isaiah, how are you bringing your footage into the project?
If you are using the Windows dialog to import (CTRL+I or CMD+I) try using the Premiere Pro Media Browser instead.
In many instances, Media Browser will detect spanned clips, and automatically import them “stitched together” for you.
If you are already using Media Browser, well, I’m a little stumped.

Adobe CC 2015.02 (as of 6/2016)
256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF. -
Thanks for reaching out Jon. I found a workaround with some Convergent Design Software called ProRes Transfer Tool. It just stitches clips together. I wasn’t having any luck with Media Browser.
