Haven’t used those cameras. Does each media unit come with a folder/file structure?
If so, I’d create individual folders for each media unit and copy the full folder/file structure into each. That way I’d have a unique top folder for each media unit.

Tell us more about the original footage youa re working with (source of footage and resolution) and the settings for your Premiere Pro project timeline (resolution/pixel aspect ratio) in particular.

I still use Encore and author as usual, then produce an ISO file of the project.
Using Videolan VLC player on a PC, these ISO files play just like a DVD, with full original menu/navigation control.

Hello – what do you mean by external memory? Are you referring to hard disk storage?

Warp Stabilizer can be a peculiar animal. I will usually isolate the shots I want to stabilize, render the individual shots to see if I like the result, then export to a non-lossy codec so the effect is “baked in”. I’ll import those “baked-in” shots to my project and work with them in the edit.
Warp Stabilize is pretty much the only time I do this routine. Just simpler in the long run for me.

If I haven’t rendered anything else in the interim, I’ll just set up to render another file (even if I am not going to actually render it, and lick on the file name. It’ll open the dialog box, which should show you where your previous render went.
And of course, there’s always a search function in the OS.

To have any chance at helping, we need more information, including the exact version of the Adobe apps you are using, your computer hardware and storage specs, the media file types you are using, how you imported them into the project (Adobe Media Browser or another method?)
Much of this information can be dropped into your signature, so when you ask questions in the future, it is all available without re-typing.

I have not done this with 4K. I will share my workflow with you for DVD. You may have to make a few changes for your 4K project.
We have decades of personal video, as well as paid projects, from back in the SD days. Original distribution was on VHS or broadcast tape formats. I converted the personal projects to DVD’s.
Of course, time marches on, and sometimes the DVD just won’t play in Blu-Ray players, and the old DVD machines are fading into the sunset.
So I went back to the original Encore projects and instead of burning a DVD, I made an ISO file. (This is one possible area of change, where you would probably make a different type of file, I am guessing.)I found that I could play back these ISO files in Videolan VLC Media Player with full menu/chapter control. So I grabbed an old workstation and use as as an input device on our TV. I open the ISO file in VLC Media Player, and there’s my menu, ready to navigate. Depending on the original authoring, I have pretty much the same level of control on chapter selection, playback, etc. A quick “CTRL+H” and the VLC app is hidden with video full screen.
I use the “Unified Remote” app (there is a free and paid version) on my phone. It comes with a basic VLC Player remote that gives me remote control. Or I can handle that through the wireless keyboard on the Media computer.
So you might want to experiment and see if the same capability is available for your HD project with VLC or another software application.

Jeff has some solid advice there.
You never want your media on the same drive as your OS and apps. That is a no-no.
Biggest bang I got for the least money is getting an SSD (not a hybrid) for the OS and apps. Makes a big difference for me in day-to-day use.
And for Premiere Pro, the right graphics card is important. If you are using a motherboard video chipset, that may be an issue.

That would be the first thing I’d do – pull it into Photoshop and reduce the resolution, save under a different file name to preserve the original.
If you aren’t doing any moves on it, take it down to the dimensions that will maintain it full screen. Good chance it resolves the problem.
