I use Audio Filter “Dynamics” across the entire track from the Audio Mixer and find I get great results. My soft sections aren’t affected because I set the dB range that I want lifted so the whole range isn’t just all louder.

Try resizing your display resolution. Be sure to have the AME export set up to go then the window will appear.

Provided your clips are exactly the same length and only better quality u can either offline them collectively and link them to your hi res versions.
Then you’ll need to make a new seq in matching HD res fps and copy dv edit to paste into HD seq for relinked files to fit properly.
Best practice would see u make a new project for the online so u still have the offline edit for safety.

I’m running 7.6.4 and it all seems fine on win7 64 with ProRes Decoder installed and PPro 4.2.1.

PC pro res playback is a separate install file, nothing to do with QT on its own. do a search for it it’s a plugin.

Please post your project settings, media type, and export settings.
Sounds like an inconsistency with settings, frame rate or field order…

I made a AME CS4 preset for you. I have tested it and it works.
After downloading the file from here: 518_10mbsec16x929.97fps48kstereoaac128.epr.zip
Open AME and Go to the H.264 Preset Group, then click on the load preset button on the right of the presets.
Find the downloaded file and it will be part of your listing.
It is set for NTSC, just change the frame rate if you need it to match something other than 29.97fps.

Hi, I’m using CS4 and trying to export HD 1440 x 1080 to qicktime for the web. The site requires that 1min of video should not exceed approx 10MB and a screen size of at least 320 x 240. The footage is 28min long- I have tried the following and outcome was not great. Any help would be great.
Output:450 x 300
VideoCodec: h.264
Frame Rate:24
Field Type: Progressive
Aspect:DV NTSC Widescreen 16:9
Bitrate (kbps)154.
Audio codec:mace 6:1
48000Hz
StereoI think the Bitrate: 154kpbs is not written correctly.
Try These settings;
Output: 480×270
Aspect: Square
Video Codec: H.264
Video Bitrate: Use the estimated size at the bottom of the Settings screen in AME it’s pretty close. I am guessing 1.5Mbps upto 1.8Mbps.
Frame Rate: (MATCH YOUR EDITED SEQ FPS)
Audeio Codec: AAC 128 44.1 StereoTry to render out just 1min Use the Work Area Bar, set Out to the 1min mark in the timeline with (Alt+]).

Hey Tim,
It would be best practice to have the Sequence settings best match the frame rate as the export. Other than that its a matter of finding the most common format in as far as frame size (SD HDV HD) so then there is less strain on actual editing the most commonly used media.
If you have the same frame rate at least as the final output you might be able to see in the edit where deinterlacing or flicker removal on clips with differing frame rates might help. Then you can guess-timate (yes i made that word up) what the quality frame rate wise will look like on export.
