Make sure the settings are the same frame size, frame rate, field dominance as the original sequence.
7.4 CBR should give you great quality under an hour.

If u r on cs4 u can direct to one place and eberything in the same folder structure will find itself. Until u hit a difference in folder structure.
If ur on cs3 or earlier then yes u need to reconnect the lot.
Otherwise change the drive letter back.

Try holding down the left shiftkey while it launches until the open project screen appears. This flushes the preferences.

Hi hamid,
if u have cs4 master collection u should have dynamic link.
The fastest way to take an edited clip from the timeline in ppro and replace it with an ae comp is to right click on the clip in the ppro timeline u want to replace and select the option replace with after effects composition.
The clip with be replaced in the timeline with an ae comp. Ae will launch automatically. U will need to save the ae project.
Now as u do work in the ae project the ppro timeline will update when u go back to ppro. The clip is already in the timeline for u. Finish the ae work and save ae. Depending on ur system speed and complexity of the ae work done the comp in ppro will need rendering for rt playback.

U can use bridge to search for clips an add them to the project as required.
What kind of project are u working on? How many clips are u working with and what format are they?

Do u have cs4? Master collection or production premium? Different versions and solo apps alone provide varied solutions. Please give us more info about ur apps versions.

I am thinking your project file size is quite large and having 4 x 80 min = 320min edited seq u r pushing the system too hard. Try to import the proj file into a new one. If you get it in save as and remove some seq to break up the project into smaller projects. Like 1 80min per project. Then remove unused files.
This will dramatically reduce the project file size and reqd indexing of media stabilizing the project.I doubt any system or OS would be more stable with such a large project. I use fcp all the time and I’d never push a project with more than 2hr edit = 120mins.
If the import panics when finding all ur media u might have to trick it into being offline. Change the folder name of the media and import the old proj. When it asks for files select offline all.
Save as copy before doing anything else. Then save as copy name it a simplified version 1 edit a time and remove unused all while it’s offline.
When u have broken it all down and have 4 single edit proj files close ppro. Change the media folder back to what it was before and open one of the smaller projects. It may find the media for u, if not finding 1 clip should direct everything else after it.

R u sur. The work area isn’t short? Make sure it’s the full length of the timeline edit by seeing the full edit in the timeline panel hit \ then double click on the timebase top of the timeline panel it will fit the work area to the full edit.

1.2 gig sounds like a low quality render fo 30mins.
R u using the trial?
Is it stopping at the same spot, exact file size? It could be a dodgy frame in a clip in the time line, if u can work out the spot I stops try exporting an uncompressed version of the clip in question and replace it in the edit.
What format r u working on? Media type?
