    Alright then, try this…
    1. In PPro make a new (File>AdobeDynLnk>NewAEDynLnk)
    2. Save it the clip description you want to animate. (wiggle)
    3. When AE opens there will be a Comp open and ready for you.
    4. Go to PPro, select the clip you want in the timeline
    5. Go back to AE and paste it into the AE comp.
    6. Select the layer – Hit (Alt+Home) to bring the head of the clip the head of the comp timeline.
    7. snap to the out point of the clip (press ‘o’)
    8. press ‘n’ to work area the end of the clip
    9. right click in the white area of the work area and select ‘trim comp to work area’
    10. Make your animation/effect
    11. Go back to PPro the DynLnk file can replace the clip in the timeline like a normal clip.
    12. Done.

Oops. That’s not a good thing.

    PProCS3
    1. You can adjust the levels effect and crush the black (make blacks blacker) and adjust the gamma too to hide the gain in the blacks.

    After Effects
    2. Use the Remove Gain effect in AE. Tweak the settings to find best result. I like to use blend with original ‘screen’, and Noise reduction set to ‘2’. Start there and play. Use the Levels effect to complete the correction.

Takes render time, but that’s why pro’s get paid big $ to shoot it right first time every time. Less post work.

Did you import all seq’s or just the one you separated from the complete edit?
It’s bringing in all the clips you need based on the sequences being imported.
You can remove unused from AE project. File>Remove Unused Footage.

If you are having issues converting the aif files into wav I’d say that’s the problem there. The aif file/s are conflicting somehow. Aif is acceptable and I use it all the time so it’s not that PPro is not able to use it. It seems the aif file is not completely clean. There is a hiccup in it that’s come from the original export of it. If you have audio software like audition or soundbooth, even QT pro you can open the aif files in there and re-export them to wav. then replace them in PPro. Without seeing the timeline I can’t tell you what else might be causing the issue.
Have all the files you are using in 1 folder (pref on a separate hard drive) and reconnect all your media to that one folder.

It sounds like you have a 24fps based type of project which is why you see that repeated frame (called pulldown)… It’s not working properly with the footage you have. The issue you are having with length might be as simple as having a small (1 frame) cut of footage sitting way out down the timeline. I’d hit the back slash key to see the whole edit in the timeline. If there is a large gap at the end of the timeline after where it should finish there is a clip up the back end causing your issue. You’ve googled this prob and it’s got no hits because it’s never happened before. But this ‘hidden’ clip has… 🙂

Change the ramp to Black – 50% grey or mask the bottom of it. Multiply should also give you a similar effect without white affecting your shot underneath. Fiddle with the opacity to get the best level of sky. I use this feature too and overlay does lift in the white – Even in Photoshop you probably haven’t noticed it.

What format are the audio files in? mp3, wav, aif?
Some mp3 or mp4 based audio formats can be rogue and PPro won’t like them very much. You must make sure your audio is all wav or aif format. You can reformat them separately in another project and then replace them in the timeline of your edit, by unlinking and relinking them to the wavs.
Hope this helps. Otherwise, goto Project>remove unused. It should clean up your project. ALso delete rendered from Sequence>…
    Then export it.

If this doesn’t play in your PC Quicktime, then there is a problem with the QT file. Ask them to resupply it using export quicktime conversion, not movie.

    Try this…
    1. In PPro copy and paste the clip you want to work with in AE into it’s own sequence in PPro. Name it ‘wiggle clip’. Save Project.
    2. Open AE and import the PPro Project. Select the sequence ‘wiggle clip’. It will import just the edited version of the clip you want to wiggle. Add your wiggle expression to it and save the AE project.
    3. In PPro import the AE comp ‘wiggle clip’ through Dynamic link. Click on the clip you want wiggling in the full edit timeline. Select the comp from AE in the project panel. Right click the clip in the full edit timeline and select the replace with clip from bin.
    4. Done!
    5. If you want to adjust the wiggle or anything else with it you can make the change to the AE project and it will update for you in PPro.

Use QT wrapper or AVI with the Animation Compresssor, keep your Alpha channel by setting color to Millions+. Anything broadcast you spit out of AE PPro will use.
