Dean, I’m rendering out an MPEG2 and the frame count adds up to the 2.31.12.03 of the 24pA clip.
I’d suggest your editor renders it out to MPEG2 from PPro at the 24fps setting. Or the 30fps as this is how it’s actually been recorded.
That should come out properly.

First thing you want to do is confirm the frame rates of your footage…
you can check that with Quicktime Player or another stand alone player you know how to check properties for frame rate.
The 20fps thing is probably causing issues.
If you find it has a different frame rate than that, interpret the footage (right click in project panel) and change the frame rate to the actual frame rate. It will affect your clips edits, length and speed.
I’d render out the 20fps one on it’s own to a 30fps clip from a 30fps project. Reimport it and check the sync of it against your main clip.
Frame rate is definitely causing you problems.

That’s because you’re using the DV preset.
You need to work in Windows or Quicktime or output with Adobe Media Encoder…
What are you rendering it to…for? DVD, TV Broadcast, PC playback, web?

right click the clip
duration/speed
play with that to find your desired ‘sound’
use audition or another professional audio program for perfect tweaking.

It’s probably the mp3 that’s causing issues.
Dynamic Link should work, unless there has been a loss in link with an element in the AE project, (moved, renamed clip).
I’d convert the mp3 to either a windows based mp3 or aif or wav. Apple mp3’s and mp4 from itunes are not friendly in PPro.

When you batch capture you can override the settings to just audio or video or both (tick boxes).
It will proceed to capture your ‘settings’ based on the timecode/tape name.

Hi Andrew,
The footage is actually (pixel for pixel) an anamorphic picture, meaning it’s widescreen only when interpreting the instruction to stretch the pixels from a square shape to a wide rectangle. What’s happening with your export is that the media is being interpreted as 4:3 based on the pixel count not the stretch instruction. You need to reinterpret. If you are using this for broadcast or DVD – leave it.
If you want only to watch it on your computer, QT has problems interpreting anamorphic, Windows media player should do it… then you need to re-export with square pixel widescreen.
To do this, take the height of the picture and divide that by 9. Take the 1/9th figure and multiply that by 16. now you have your width. Make the export settings these numbers and set ratio to square. Now it will always playback in the right frame ratio.
(This is not a recognised broadcast to tape or DVD format ratio)

For starters.
1. Make the text white.
2. Drop it over the top of your video (Vid=Tk 1, Title=Trk 2)
3. Apply the Track matte key effect to layer 1 (your vid)
4. Ask Matte = Track 2
5. Composite Using = Matte Luma

can you post your ppro prj file so i can see the settings etc, it will all come in offline and I can’t see what’s actually happening in your film, but I can see what might technically be happening.
