I think for 1 clip I had my camera gain on by accident, so there is colored grain in the shadows and over the black clothing. How can I get rid of it, or at least mask it some so it doesn`t look like color speckles everywhere. The clip is quick do you only see the grain over the black areas.

Oops. That’s not a good thing.

    PProCS3
    1. You can adjust the levels effect and crush the black (make blacks blacker) and adjust the gamma too to hide the gain in the blacks.

    After Effects
    2. Use the Remove Gain effect in AE. Tweak the settings to find best result. I like to use blend with original ‘screen’, and Noise reduction set to ‘2’. Start there and play. Use the Levels effect to complete the correction.

Takes render time, but that’s why pro’s get paid big $ to shoot it right first time every time. Less post work.
