Must read postings properly….I was looking for it under sequence settings not easy setup. I found it, now just have to try it.

Maybe you can help (I posted about this below). When I drop my PAL DV timeline into an uncompressed 10bit one I get strobey looking output (think it’s a field issue???) any ideas?

Playback is 8 bit uncompressed output through a decklink extreme on SDI directly to a JVC monitor.
Maybe I need to shift the whole output by a line….

Thanks for the response.
The problem is it still seems to exist when outputting directly to a monitor?
I noticed it seems to switch on and off as I pause and play from the timeline (the top line seems to split and the whole picture moves down a line on commencing playback)
Does this make sense?

Just thinking ahead to the future, but I’m currently editing a 1/2 hour HDV doc with decklink extreme. The downconversion looks great for viewing and I’ll be delivering on Digibeta.

When I edit to tape will I have to conform or can I use the Decklink downconversion? Does conform make the quality better?

You’re spot on, the line shows up with underscan. It’s good to have someone with your technical savvy on the case.
Does this green line mean I shouldn’t record to tape? (I can always go back to 4.5 as I have a dual boot system at the moment for laying to tape.)
