  • HDV to SD Digibeta revisited ???

    Hi,
There’s been two questions regarding downconverting HDV to SD digibeta recently. The answer given was to put the footage into a Blackmagic HDTV 1080i50 HDV timeline. I can’t find this in my easy setups??? I have blackmagic HDTV1080i50 8bit, 10 bit, jpeg etc. but none with HDV after it.

I have edited my timeline in the regular HDV1080i50 sequence and viewed it by setting view to blackmagic1080i50 8 bit but if I drop my edited HDV timeline into a Blackmagic 1080i50 8 bit sequence it shows orange and needs rendering.

    Is this the solution? ideas?

I’m hoping to on-line over the weekend so any help is appreciated.

    Hi,

Are you running v5.x of our drivers?

Try uninstalling it using the “Uninstall Blackmagic” tool and then reinstalling it again.

Run FCP Rescue to get rid of FCP’s cache just in case.

    regards

    Thanks Kristian,

Must read postings properly….I was looking for it under sequence settings not easy setup. I found it, now just have to try it.

Well yes, that’s all completely normal. The question is, why are you putting your edited timeline into a BM 1080i50 8-bit seq.??? There are reason for doing that, but what ius your reason???

Reason was sheer confusion. Sorted now (I think).
