Yea, interlacing is only for broadcast or DVD playback on an interlaced TV. All web media and computer playback should be rendered progressive (no fields).

Most Windows computers should be able to handle 720p. I would not use 1080 as this can stutter on some older systems.

Try SmartConverter from the Apple App Store. It’s free and handles WMV files quite well. There is also a Pro version but I’ve never used it.

Oh sorry, I thought you said that other events are OK and that just this one was behaving strange but now I see that all “new” Titles & Text events are behaving this way. Hmmm..! I’m not sure what would cause this behavior on just new events. Maybe it’s time to connect Sony Support?

I got the 480GB one for $379.75. It’s just for the OS and Applications. I have a 4 disk 8TB RAID5 for my video data.

So you copied the formatting with the text and it was the formatting that was causing the problem? (just checking to be sure)

Yea, I had an iPhone 4 which I upgraded to the iPhone 6 and the improvement was noticeable. I don’t upgrade every model so my next one will be the iPhone 8. lol

Don’t forget to look into the Filmic Pro app. The iPhone photo app, like most built-in smart phones video apps, will record at a variable frame rate. Filmic Pro will let you select the frame rate, bit rate, etc. and give you a much more consistent video file to edit.

If you are on a Mac you could use the Apple ProRes codec although I’ve never had any problems on YouTube with AVC/H.264 files from Final Cut Pro X.

You place them both into a new project timeline and render them again. This render should go a lot faster because all of the FX and other edits have already been applied.

I’m guessing that’s because Adobe is using CUDA which is an NVIDIA proprietary technology and most laptops have NVIDIA GPU’s so Adobe should run great on most laptops. It’s unfortunate that more laptops don’t support AMD but that’s what Sony runs best with.

I didn’t realize that your NLE choice was driven by your client. If you to check out the MacBook Pro’s be sure to go to an Apple Store and see Final Cut Pro X running on it. FCP X screams on the new MacBook Pro’s (as you might expect).

So are you delivering Vegas Pro project files (*.veg) to your clients? I’m just wondering why they care what NLE you use.

Not the ones from Intel but I have an OWC Mercury Accelsior E2 PCI Express SSD as the boot drive in my 2010 Mac Pro 12-Core and it’s scary fast:

OWC had these before Intel came out with theirs but I assume the Intel’s get similar results.
