Strange behavior with generated text
Posted by Greg Prickril on March 9, 2016 at 11:42 amI put a Sony Titles and Text event on the timeline. When I try to move it in the preview window via the box handles, the text moves outside the box with handles. I’ve got the anchor point as “top left”. Other similar events on other tracks don’t behave this way.

March 9, 2016 at 12:43 pmI wonder if it’s a graphics driver problem? Try updating your graphics card divers to the latest level. Also make sure that you are using the latest build of Movie Studio 13.

March 9, 2016 at 12:48 pmThanks John. I have other text events I created previously that don’t show this behavior, so it seems to me like some setting got whacked. As I move the box toward the edge of the preview window, the text changes position in relation to it and the disappears as I get close to the edge. Ring any bells?

March 9, 2016 at 12:56 pmIf you have other text events that work then just delete this one and start a new one. It could simply be a bug.

March 9, 2016 at 12:59 pmI tried that (of course) John and even created a blank project. New text events have the same behavior. BTW, I have the latest build. For now, will just try to work around it. If anyone else has a fix, would really appreciate hearing it though. Thanks again.

March 9, 2016 at 9:47 pmOh sorry, I thought you said that other events are OK and that just this one was behaving strange but now I see that all “new” Titles & Text events are behaving this way. Hmmm..! I’m not sure what would cause this behavior on just new events. Maybe it’s time to connect Sony Support?
