It sounds like “fading between frames” is really Frame Blending that happens because of Resampling. If you Disable Resample this should stop.

Why not Motion? Perhaps if you explained why you feel that Motion isn’t a viable competitor to AE, it would give people more insight into recommending an alternative that was… although, other than the already mentioned Hit Film and Boris RED, there’s not much out there to recommend.
I’ve used AE in the past and now I only use Motion so I’m curious as to why the obvious choice is not even an option.

I also own both iZotope RX and SoundSoap and concur with Jeff’s assessment. SoundSoap is great for quick fixes of broadband noise but iZotope RX is a surgical instrument that has no equal. It goes way beyond broadband noise reduction and can remove sounds like the screech of a truck’s breaks when stopping without removing the sound of the engine of the truck. It’s that precise. If you can afford it… just get it. It will pay for itself.
I used iZotope RX to removed the sound of someone kicking over a chair in the middle of a speech and it was as if the chair had never fallen over. Just magic.

Have no fear. You can register it several times and not have any problems. Sony actually allows you to register it on a Desktop and Laptop but it doesn’t stop working at 2. I don’t know what the maximum number is, but I do know that when you exceed it, you can contact Sony Support, explain your situation, and they will reset the counter for you. So feel free to register it again.

Thanks for sharing that and there is a good lesson to be learned. I would never use a driver from Windows Update. Always use either a driver from the card manufacturer (ASUS, Gigabyte. MSI, EVGA, etc.) or from the NVDIA or AMD site.

It could be just an older installer. The installer looks for all known versions of Vegas Pro. As new versions of Vegas Pro get released, we update the installer but not the versions of the plug-in because the plug-in really doesn’t change. So don’t go by the version number on the installer file. Just download the latest one.

Yes, extremely quiet. This was one of my biggest criteria because I had an AMS Venus T5 which holds 5 disks and performs RAID 5 in hardware but when you turn it on it sounds like a jet engine even with the fan set to the low setting. I couldn’t believe how loud it was. I had to turn it off when I wasn’t using it for video work, that’s how annoying it was so don’t get the AMS Venus T5. They are good but they are LOUD.
The CineRAID, by comparison. is whisper quiet. I cannot hear it sitting on my desk next to my 2010 Mac Pro. That is to say, that the fans in the Mac Pro are louder than the CineRAID (and the Mac Pro is quiet) so you can turn the CineRAID on with the Mac Pro already on and notice absolutely no difference in sound levels. You have to look at the lights to see if it’s on. I wouldn’t worry about noise levels with the CineRAID. I’ve been very happy with it.

I’m glad that all worked out for you. I’ve experimented with several ways of restoring old systems to new ones and it’s not always obvious what the outcome will be. I was glad to see that Time Machine backups are smarter than your normal Carbon Copy backups in that they only backup the data you care about and can be restore to a new OS without affecting the new OS version. Very smart (sometimes smarter than us) 😉

If you don’t use the computer on-line there is no reason to have an intrusive virus scanner that runs all of the time. Like I said, I’ve removed all of them and just use the built-in Windows Defender.

EditReady is the best $49 you’ll spend on a conversion tool. I rewrap all of my HDV media with it. It’s just great!
Having said that…

I’m guessing that you would deselect these if your source was progressive but your source is interlaced so I would think that you want De-interlace Video to be ON to convert it to progressive.
