No. You gotta use Compressor now.
I always recommend exporting a Quicktime reference movie, then dragging that into Compressor instead of using “Export to Compressor”, as I find its a much much faster encode. -

Chapter Markers work fine when encoding with Compressor. Just make sure when exporting your Quicktime Movie from FCP, that you select “DVD Studio Pro Markers.””
Correct. I do it all the time and it works fine. Also, make sure you have actually made chapter markers…you need to click the chapter button when the marker window opens…regular markers are NOT chapter markers.

The Waves plugins can be installed at the User level…
User/Library/Audio/Plugins
instead of at main level
Library/Audio/Plugins
Move your audio plugins to the main (Pro Tools) users Library/Audio plugins folder. Create a new user for FCP. This user will not have access to the Pro Tools users plugins and FCP will not see those plug ins.

PS: From the sound of things, you may have some OS issues and may need to re-install, but this is worth a shot first.

Avid and FCP do not use the same media file format. FCP uses Quicktime, Avid uses OMF (mostly).

There is a bug in FCP 5’s media manager, where if the media is offline, it will not let you trim down the sequence to only the media used. FCP 5.1 corrects this bug.
Just for laughs, try copying your sequence into a new project. This may break the links to the original length media.

Try creating a new project, save it, then drag the sequence you wish to conform into the new project (this copies it). Close the original project. Now try to batch digitize.
This should break the link to the original clips (any sequence copied from another project allegedly automatically has its clips become orphans (independent).Hope this works for you.

I think this is the problem. Cinema Tools has no way of determining where recording stopped and started (critical for figuring out the cadence) because you have eliminated the breaks.

These are flattened OMF files..they dont have alpha channels. This may not work for you.

Were any clips made in the Avid Quicktime codec? I have seen that error message when trying to use such files. They seem to have problems working in FCP under more recent versions of Quicktime.
