    hello,
I marked where I want my chapters in FCP.
    I exported using compressor.
It seems like DVD studio Pro does not recognize my chapter marks from compressor.
Doing something wrong?? Hope this makes sense. Thanks alot.

I have had the same issue and I don’t think DVDSP sees chapter markers in compressor, but if you do a straight QT export (no conversion) and leave the encoding to DVDSP, it does work. good luck

you can always add your chapter markers in the timeline in dvdsp – thats what i ended up doing with my last project and it worked fine.

Chapter Markers work fine when encoding with Compressor. Just make sure when exporting your Quicktime Movie from FCP, that you select “DVD Studio Pro Markers.”

Correct. I do it all the time and it works fine. Also, make sure you have actually made chapter markers…you need to click the chapter button when the marker window opens…regular markers are NOT chapter markers.

There could be one or two answers to this question. When you add your marker in FCP hit “mm” This will open the marker window. Name your chapter. and click “Add Chapter Marker”. If you don’t do this I don’t think DVD pro reads this as a true chapter marker. Many people use Markers for editing, soundtracks etc etc etc…

Secondly in Compressor check your extras tab and make sure your mpeg 2 setting is enabled that says “Include Chapter Markers Only”. This hopefully should solve your issue. Let me know how you make out. If you don’t use markers in FCP besides Chapter markers you can leave “Include Chapter Markers Only” unchecked. Let me know how you make out.
