I think the M100 version you are using is too old (aren’t they up to v11 by now?)
FCP has only been able to capture multitrack audio since v5.
Try the OMF solution David suggested.

All items should have a reel number.
An EDL assumes you are working in a linear VTR based edit suite. -
Try this instead. The Avid site has this stuff poorly labeled.

FCP does a sample rate conversion to a single user specified rate while embedding the media. This should prevent there being multiple sample rates in the embedded media. Not likely this is the problem.

Install the latest version of Avid Codecs available here.
This package supports the long discontinued Meridien hardware as well as current systems. It also supports both PowerPC and Intel Macs.

DVD players are required to support AC3.
The overwhelming majority of commercially available DVD’s have AC3 audio.This really should be in the DVDSP forum.

“Oh yes. You didn’t say what version of Final Cut you are using. If you are using Final Cut Studio 2, then the new version of Soundtrack Pro can import your OMF file and you can take a look. It ***MAY*** possibly also strip out any FCP weirdness, such as multiclips, and export a version Pro Tools can better deal with.

You can make 24p SD DVD’s with DVD Studio Pro.

I have also seen problems with FCP multiclip (and even Avid group clip audio when using XDCAM). Were multiclips used? Perhaps thats the problem. Just taking a guess.

Why in the world would you put a deinterlacer on progressive footage? It is not interlaced to begin with.
I’m not sure if iDVD knows to handle progressive footage. It’s probably converting it to 480i when it does the MPEG encode.
