You don’t need Sebsky Tools for this.

You can export your bins as FCP Batch Lists, import them into Cinema Tools, then export from there as ALE (Avid Log Exchange) from there.

This has nothing to do with directories or permissions. If you were having trouble with media files going offline, then I would agree with that diagnosis.

Are you sure you did not paste the sequence from one project to another?

As Shane stated, match frame will not work between projects. The link between the master clip and the sequence clip will be broken, if you move the sequence to a new project.

If you did not move the sequence between projects, then there is some sort of project corruption at play that has broken your links. Not really much you can do to fix it, unfortunately.

Did these sequence clips ever link to the browser clips? Can you open up an older version of your project from your Autosave Vault where things did link up? Do some clips link or none of them? If its not every single clip, it might be better to let FCP create a new master clip (as it asked you in a dialog), then move the new master clip to its proper bin. If its every clip in the sequence, and not just a few, that would be really cumbersome though.

Sounds like you are trying to get your synced clips into your Avid (not a sequence).

You can export each as self contained ProRes LT Quicktimes and bring into Avid via AMA.
If you want better performance, transcode on the Avid to a DNX resolution (Avids native HD format).

Make sure you retain a backup, as these synced clips won’t exist anywhere else.

Before you go through the trouble of a re-install, try repairing permissions on your boot drive using Disk Utility.

Sounds like Avid is having trouble writing data when you quit the program. Could be a permissions problem.

Won’t hurt anything to try and only takes a few minutes.

Soundtrack will send back its mix, with the source clips dimmed (disabled) beneath on lower tracks.

The source clips will not necessarily “add up” to the mix, as Soundtrack uses sample accurate edits, track based effects and automation and effects that are not available in FCP.

You can use Soundtrack’s conform feature to update mixes based on editorial changes. It examines the changes between two FCP sequences and creates a new Soundtrack session accordingly. It works surprisingly well, in my limited experience with it.

The workflow for all this is in the Soundtrack Pro help. No point to me copy/pasting it all from there for you.

The rendering is because its resizing your clip to 720p.

You can make it 1080p by going into the Info Pane, then selecting from the little gear in the lower right corner “Edit Compound Clip Settings”. You can fix the frame size, but you can’t fix the frame rate.

This is why your audio is falling out of sync.

This is a major bug that limits use of the auto Synchronize feature to 23.98 footage.

You can only synchronize 23.98 footage. No 29.97 or 25.
It also turns everything in 720p.
You can fix that though, at least. Cant fix the frame rate.
