Building on what Mark said, with video the blue channel is typically the noisest. Noise makes pulling a clean key harder.

Google “stock footage” and a lot will pop up. If you find inexpensive footage be sure to check the small print. Even with more expensive sources you may not be obtaining all the rights you’d want. For example, if people are recognizeable, do you have the rights to display their likeness?

You can also use Soundtrack Pro’s noise reduction which is a little more involved. STP “learns” the noise, then acts to reduce it, leaving the rest of the audio relatively untouched. Here’s a Larry Jordan tutorial on how to do it. https://www.larryjordan.biz/articles/lj_reduce_noise_STP2.html

In the past we used a MXO with a LED screen for HD monitoring with a MBP 2.33. It worked fine.
