Here’s one way: In the FILE menu choose RUN SCRIPT > DEMOPALETTE.JSX. In this palette you’ll see a button called GRAVITY.

A couple of things to try:
1. Delete your preferences, restart and see if that fixes the problem.
2. Try different sampling methods:
– To sample the color average of a 3-by-3-pixel area, Ctrl-click (Windows) or Command-click (Mac OS) the area.
– To sample a range of adjacent pixels, Shift-drag over the pixels (this works in the color picker but I’m not sure about Keylight).JD

1. Open the comp(s)
2. Select the layer you want to replace (in the Comp)
3. Select the footage file you want to replace it with (in the Project window)
4. Option-drag the footage from the Project window to the Comp window press. Or instead of Option -
How about using a Blend Mode such as Screen or Add on the Lightning layer?

Have you considered that no one has responded to your post because no one here has actually used Live Trace with 3D Invigorator yet? If you would like to email me your file I can take a look at it and see what’s going on.

I don’t appreciate your post and find your criticism very annoying. I responded to that post because I was trying to HELP. That was not theory! I’ve had problems with memory errors in the past and removing fonts, then replacing them a few at a time until I found the culprit fixed my problem – this was recommended by Zaxwerks.

When you save a frame as Photoshop layers, keyed areas SHOULD be recognised as transparent in Photoshop (the keyed areas become part of that layer’s alpha channel). If you email me the file I can take a look if you like (john@motionworks.com.au)

Not sure if I totally understand but have you considered using the keyframe assistant “Sequence Layers”. Add all of your layers to a comp, select them all and trim them to the desired length ( ALT + ] ) then right click on one of the layers (still selected) and choose KEYFRAME ASSISTANT > SEQUENCE LAYERS. There is also an option to cross fade in there too.

One thing that can cause these errors is corrupt fonts. Try removing fonts and see if that helps.
