  • Replacing footage in comp

Posted by Josh on December 6, 2005 at 12:53 am

i am working with a couple different compositions and what they are is basically all the same its a bunch of masks with video clips in them. I duplicated one composition 8 times and want to replace the video clips in each one, but retain the masks on those video clips and all the trasformations etc. But when i apple click on the layer I dont have an option to replace the footage, I can only get that option in the project window but that reaplaces the footage in all the comps.

do you know a way to do this

    -thanks

    1. Open the comp(s)
    2. Select the layer you want to replace (in the Comp)
    3. Select the footage file you want to replace it with (in the Project window)
    4. Option-drag the footage from the Project window to the Comp window press. Or instead of Option
