You can recreate that really simply with CC Particle world. I made an example project for you to use as a starter project. 4044_fairydustcs5.aep.zip

These are the values I used but they all can be adjusted to taste.

Apply CC Particle World to a solid. Adjust the Longevity to 4 seconds. Animate the X position of the produer.

Also animate the birth rate by setting a keyframe(decide how many particles you need) and then move 1 frame forward and set a keyframe to 0. This way when the move is finished, you are creating particles that might drift on screen.

    Physics Settings: Velocity = .25, Gravity = -.05, Resistance = 1.5

Particle Settings: Create the particle size and color you want.
I used a color map that starts with the solid color I created and changes to a light blue over the particles 4 second lifetime.

Finally I added a slight glow to the particles.

A simple method would be to use multiple strokes and masks.

Mask 1 and Stroke 1 for the first part of the journey and as you start Mask 2, Stroke 2, you being the fade out of the Stroke 1.

I think you will get a better response on the expressions forum, some of the guys of over there are familiar with scripting.

Change your frame rate to 30FPS, that’s will change your frame rate to non-drop.

I don’t know of system that would run a frame rate of 29.97 and be non-drop, that doesn’t make sense and I think the guy asking for the deliverable is confused.

  • If I understand, you want to track something that is moving left to right across the screen, but starts from offscreen and moves onscreen. Try this tutorial that about Mocha, sounds like this is what you are trying to accomplish.

  • That particular video would include a combination of rotoscoping to freeze the snowboarder than some planar tracking to keep him attached while the camera moves and changes perspective. If you have CS5 you have access to mocha, a great program for this type of work.

  • Can you make a jpeg of the offending stroke and post it here, i’m having a hard time visualizing the problem.
