[Ry Tullis] “any way to burn a dvd with a bit rate as high as 36,641? “

Not if you want it to play back in a DVD player. Usually max bit rate should be around 7.5 mbps, min around 6.5. Once you start going higher than that dvd players will start to get angry.

[ashley marie] “s it possible for a project or sequence to become corrupted?”

    Yes yes yes.

If trashing prefs, restarting, disk utility all don’t work, copy and paste your timline into a new project.
If it’s fine in the new project then something went corrupt in your old one.

[Naveen Mallikarjuna] “I do wish though that you could set panning by Track level, rather than only by Clip.

That way, new clips added to a track would automatically pan Left or Right. “

Well, there kinda is. If you are capturing from tape, in the clip settings you can link the tracks by clicking the infinity looking icon to the left of the green buttons.
If you are working from file based media, just link the tracks,(higlight both tracks and hit Option+L)
This pans them correctly. Even if you unlink them after that, they still retain their pan. Test it and see by linking, unlinking, then clicking on the individual tracks and see what the panning is.
    Best,

    Hi There,
I take it one SDI is feeding your monitor and the other the deck???
Anyways, if you are trying to make 2 dubs at the same time, can’t you output HD to your HD deck, and patch the SD out of the HD deck into your SD deck and crash record on the SD?
There might be a way to remote both machines but that’s above my head.

go into your video settings and put in a custom number for your data rate. now when you check back to where it said “unknown”, there will be a number there.

Did you try in your preferences to switch the “upon timecode break” option to “warn after capture”?
