Don’t forget to click on position in track motion and check for a key frame there. Turn off your sync cursor and start over again,
If that does not work for you I would do is “rewind” to the beginning of the timeline. Select the track in question, open track motion. right click and restore. If that does not work for some odd reason or another. Create and empty track copy the prior and paste it to the empty.

Well if you a are sure you no longer will need the renders then just delete them. Personally I would rather hold on to my work and hard drive is a cheap option. Hopefully this is what you were asking.

In case you never noticed you can see your track motion keyframes just below the track presented as little diamonds. You can move, delete, change the preset as needed without having to open up the track motion window again. Move your cursor to where the problem is and look for the offending key frames and delete them. Hope this and JR’s post help you

JR is correct about Dell, I’ve have known this for years and they have lost a lot of followers because they do this. It really is tantamount to fraud when you look at it or bait and switch. You really are much better off building your own machine for a fraction of the cost. Again we the public are the beta testers on software, hardware and work arounds. Happy New Year

Wow….feels like we just got a divorce.
Seriously I understand the frustration as most of us have been through it at one time or another. When I think back when it was a DOS world and you had to know those codes I don’t recall ever having the system crash. Enter windows and voila…!!! Some people never have a problem (not me) and others like yourself are plagued with them. I think the community has come to accept that there will always be issues. bugs, updates and work arounds.
The promise of the latest and greatest and being the first kid on the block is our fault. There’s no secret that the consumers are the beta testers and we have allowed it. I always dread doing any updates, whether it is for windows or any other software. I’m waiting before I upgrade to Vegas 9 and windows 7 for the bugs to have been dealt with. The marketing people just want to sell the product so I never believe the hype. Here we have 64 bit Windows 7 and Vegas 9 fresh out of the box so to speak and they have well known issues already. No surprise.
Can’t say I blame you for the move however.

Understand…then try this. Explore the DVD, copy it to the desktop, change the extension to MPG instead of VOB and drag the file to the timeline. The audio should be there but the video will be shortened. This is just a test.
There is no reason I can see why the audio would not be seen in Vegas and yet play in Media player. How were the DVD’S burned? Since you mentioned they worked before what were you referring to? -
If you are using the “import camcorder disc” function there is no further step for audio. The video files cannot just be copied into Vegas as it will truncate the files. Not sure why you would not be getting audio. Is this from a camcorder disc or from a burned DVD? Some camcorders use 4 channels and as I recall Vegas only sees 2. That might be the issue if it is from your camcorder. A little more details might help.

If you have done a fresh install then assuredly it must be a hardware issue. Sometimes the message helps but in my experience with the dreaded BSOD you can get various messages. Do you only get the BSOD when running Vegas? Need a little bit more on the details to try and pinpoint what the problem could be. A bad memory module can cause this as well so can a host of other things. Been through this before and know how difficult it can be.
