64bit and 32 bit
I’ve installed Windows7 64 bit. Also installed Vegas 64 bit but Vegas crashed constantly with a blue screen (of death). I then removed Vegas 64bit and installed Vegas32 bit. It’s working but still crashes frequently but thank goodness not with a blue screen.
Is it OK to run Vegas 32bit with Windows7 64bit?
What could possibly be wrong. I’ve installed all updates I know of.Sorry to be asking so many questions lately but sure appreciate this forum and the always good help.

Yes, it’s perfectly fine to run Vegas 32-bit and every other 32-bit application in the world on Windows 7 64-bit. I do it every day.
You need to figure out why your PC is giving you the BSOD. What error are you getting in the upper left corner? Does it show a driver name that is responsible at the bottom of the screen? These are all clues as to what’s going on. It could be bad hardware (memory) or bad software (drivers).
Vegas cannot cause a BSOD. No application can. The BSOD is caused by a system driver or hardware that Vegas is using. You need to figure out which it is and fix it.

If you have done a fresh install then assuredly it must be a hardware issue. Sometimes the message helps but in my experience with the dreaded BSOD you can get various messages. Do you only get the BSOD when running Vegas? Need a little bit more on the details to try and pinpoint what the problem could be. A bad memory module can cause this as well so can a host of other things. Been through this before and know how difficult it can be.
