    Robert,
did you ever figure this out?
I’m having the same problem, same deck, but with the Kona card and not the IO.
    Any help appreciated.

are you getting an error message? time? If you copy your timeline to a new program, does it still happen?
Does it happen in the same spot every time? If so, dump that clip, may be corrupt.

    Just guessing here, but
your raid firmware may be incompatible with Tiger and
may need to download an upgrade.

Using Squeexe with the Flip4Mac plugin here on OSX. Does everything.
On the PC side, prior to the release of Flip, was using Procoder for WMV9
    content.
Anything but Cleaner, which has been dying on the vine for quite awhile now, regrettably. It was a solid product at one time.

There is definitely an issue between M100 and iDVD (or perhaps Compressor)
I can no longer encode M100 files, either self-contained or reference,
with iDVD. This was my way of churning out quick client previews.
On a G5 with 10.4, latest iDVD, QT etc, M100 softwar codec installed or NOT installed, it won’t encode, either quiting entirely or just sitting there.
Same result on a G4 10.3.8, M100 hardware, no go.

I need to test compressor by itself at some point
