Well, its finally happened. After a couple of years bangin around the world with my “A” I’ve finally lost the two metric screws that attach the mic holder to the camera. I called EVS for replacements, no luck. I tried contacting Panasonic Parts with the only id that I could find (the User Manual describes them as XSB+12F2). They didn’t even have the DVX listed. I did a Google search…nothing.

I’m ready to go to Home Depot. Although I know the mic to camera mount is 12mm long, does anyone have any other (diameter etc) specs on these screws, or where I can get the official ones at a reasonable cost?

    Thanks ahead of time

Go to the Panasonic website, go to support, go find a service center, enter your camera model number and your zipcode, when the listings come up call one of them and talk the problem through. The screws are not expensive and should be easy to get.

Jan, when can we expect to receive our “goodies” from our purchase of a DVX-100a earlier this summer? I got my $300, book and DVD, but I’m still waiting on the battery and tapes?

    What’s the deal?

    Thanks,

    Tim

Jan — Thanks for getting back to me. I did as you suggested and got nowhere. The website didn’t recognize the DVX 100A nor the model number for the screws. when I called customer support they didn’t recognize DVX either.

I’m headed out to Home Depot.

    Thanks anyway

Page 6 of the DVX100A user manual (found here online: https://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/AGDVX100A.PDF ) states that there are four screws total that come for the mic holder/adapter. Two 12mm for the holder to attach to the adapter. And two 6mm screws to connect the whole thing to the camera itself.

In your post you say you’ve lost the two that connect the whole thing to the camera. That would be the 6mm in length (XSB4+6FZ) models.

    Head over to here:
    https://www.pstc.panasonic.com/Epartr/PartsListChoice.asp

And in any of the part number windows paste in this:
    XSB4+6FZ

There you go. $1 for each screw. They call it a BINDING HEAD SCREW.

To be honest, I live in Philadelphia. Neither the Lowes or Home Depot had the screws. But a wonderful independent hardware store called Rittenhouse Hardware on 20th and Pine DID have the screws. For about 30 cents each. They’re tight as a drum, solid as a rock. The exact fit.

I’d bring your camera and mic holder to your local NON-CHAIN harware store and see if they got em. My screws were traditional silver colored, not the black that the Panasonic screws come in. But honestly, does that matter much?
