There is live update roundtripping between the apps. Motion is an excellent tool for creating static and motion menus as well as transitions. It can also be used to create the overlay layers for menu buttons.

It’s true, but you don’t export anything.
Save the project and import the project file as a QuickTime movie clip into AE. Interpret premultiplied with black.
I demonstrate how on the INSIDE MOTION 2 dvd from DMTS (Magnet Media).

Some sort of perspective effect will help– lines converging to a vanishing point, alternating bands of light/dark or colors, etc.
Is the camera pointing straight down or at an angle? Can you post a frame grab?

When creating a Photoshop file make sure the content is set to transparent. Also make sure that the layer is not named BACKGROUND.
FCP will recognize PSD opacity automatically.

Sounds like you want to do it in Final Cut Pro:
Put up each photo for about 4 frames each and do a page peel transition between them.

In Motion you can trim the clips to 1 frame each. You will want to modify the amount of change between frames if you do this.
You might also consider dissolves between the clips/frames (the cheap way to do an “optical flow”).

Are you removing 5 of the 6 frames for each “frame”?
Also, more frames per second on playback will make for smoother motion (24 fps strobes more than 30)

Sounds like a permissions problem. When you log in as the user do you have read, write AND execute permissions for the files in that folder.
Select the folder and files and check using File > Info.

Don’t take it personally. Star Wars scrolling text and light saber techniques are probably the most requested tutorials motion graphics, and they’ve been asked and answered so many times over the years that many of us have a knee-jerk reaction to the query that is less than encouraging.

Make sure the text box is stretched tall enough to have multiple lines and that you have the text box selected for entering text. Don’t click outside the text box with the Type tool as it will start a new text object.
