If you want to “future-proof” yourself consider the Panasonic HVX-200. It shoots DV, DVCPRO50 and 720 and 1080 DVCPROHD. It covers the gamut of what you need now and might need in the future. Editing the high def material is just as easy to do with FCS as if you were editing standard def. You can shoot SD in both 4:3 and 16:9. It is a truly wonderful camera that is incredible versatile.

I’ve been using the CalDigit S2VR HD 3.75TB myself. In fact, I have two of them. One mirrors the other. I’ve been using them for a few months now and have had no problems. Just great performance. I am running them off a MacPro, Quad Core 3.0, 8GB ram.
They’ve been a great addition to my edit suite.

Double check your timeline easy setup. Make sure it matches your import setting and create a new sequence once you do this.
