    Bill,

I believe the product was Pro Tec (?). The folks at Sony said that they had just met with them and were working on getting together (perhaps even buying Pro Tec). I have been trying to find them on the web with no success. Perhaps I’ve got the name wrong.

Let me know if you find out anything.

    Sage advice.

Thanks for the rapid response. I will, as suggested, keep 6.5 until I’m comfortable transitioning to CS3.

What ever happen to Hoodman? They announced at the 2007 NAB that they were coming out with P2 cards, but they never materialized.

Why not transfer your film to DVCProHD? The bit rate is 2x of DV50, but you can still edit it on MacBook Pro with a FW800 drive.

Can you have the transfer folks master to a Panny 1200/1400 deck(an archived master), then go FW to you MacBookPro?

    My 2 cents.

    Good luck,

Has anyone heard any more about the holographic disc system? They were supposed to be introduced this Fall. Storage 300GB to 1.6TB with a fast through put.

Just our of curiosity, would the Pro Res 422(HQ) both SD & HD be a good option in this case? I believe they are both 10bit and take up less space?

May 24, 2007 at 2:17 pm in reply to: MySpace video? from DVCPROHD

I used Brian’s You Tube setting on a 5 min video (DV) and instead of a file size at the suggested 100Mbs. The file size was 198Mbs. (Of course there is always a chance of operator error) But I was wondering if others had seen this discrepancy.

The video did look very good. I am trying a few variations on the setting to see if I can get it down to 100Mbs.

    Any insights would be appreciated.

    Cheers
