Here is a sample image of the timeline.I selected the last portion on the back end and there you see it couple of early audio track get selected.

Hello there,
I’m currently dealing with the same issue.Using the Select multiple tracks tool to move a segment of the sequence
forward also grabs previous sections of the timeline.I have tried changing sequences, trashing preferences, loading the sequence on another system but the bug stills there.
Any solutions?
Regards,

Getting a KONA or Blackmagic card will resolve the rendering need.?

We are having the same issue.
Working on XDCAM 1080P/23.978 SEQ. A 24min sequence with subtitles it tells that needs to be render but the whole project will be a feature length. This is a massive project with lot of interviews in different languages.
I have try changing the sequence settings to ProRes or increase the Still cache but no luck there. We increase the RAM from 8GB to 16GB but the difference there was not considerable. The system only allows a few amount of text to be realtime but the majority need render.
We are running FCP 6.0.6 on OS X 10.5.8, Dual Quad MacPro, 16GB of RAM, eSata 7TB Raids.
Using Spherico TextUp Pro to create the subtitle in FCP.Thanks for advice.

I have tried everything possible to my understanding. If anyone has a possible solution to this is very much appreciated.

Thanks for the response Andy,
So how can I accomplish this before trans-coding the media?
Thru “Log and capture” the only audio options are Matrix and Plain stereo, on XDCAM transfer software?THX!

“True, you will lose the relationship to the master clip, but you can always use “reveal in finder” to show you where the clip came from. This requires a little bit of preplanning and organization on your part, but the end results are definitely worth it. We’ve organized our entire SAN this way, and have been using this workflow on dozens of shows currently on the air. “
Hey Mark,
Thanks for you suggestions,
So this is a mayor drawback for FCP, if we have a new editor coming in that dont know the media “reveal master” is a huge help in a big project like the one we have.So in our case there is now default solution that FCP is capable of sharing sequences within multiple editors without affecting the projects.
