Apple Prores 422 Crossdissolve or fade to black issue
Hello there,
I’m working on a project 1920×1080 23.98 Apple Prores 422 on FCP 6.0.6, running QKtime Version 7.6.4 (518.35), MAC OS X 10.5.8, 2.66 Quadcore machine, 8GB RAM.Sequence setting at matching the footage format. Video processing at 10b-bit.
The material was shot with the Canon 5D at the same specs.
Brought in FCP thru log and transfer.After exporting a highress self-contained Qktime I have notice there is a weird effect on the cross-dissolve. There is a small jump on the video levels (maybe gamma?) when entering the dissolve. I have also tried to do the fade manually with the opacity but with the same results, also tried to change the sequence video processing to 8-bit and no luck either.
Any leads?!

Check to make certain that “full” is checked in the Render All menu, then re-render the sequence.

Possibly color sync?
Quicktime> Prefs> Enable Final Cut Studio color compatibility

Checked! Still the same no difference, there is a jump on the image levels or what looks like the a gamma change when the cross-dissolve comes in. ???
