I think the definition of a “pro” is pretty simple. You make your living editing on ANYTHING, and you are a pro. The only thing that really matters is results. Any tool used by a pro is obviously pro, right? Doesn’t mean it’s the best tool, but it’s still being used professionally whatever it is.

If you click twice on the name (not the icon) you can rename it. I’m unclear on what the ramifications (if any) are by doing so, but don’t immediately see a problem with this.

There’s not a way to disable the feature… so select the edit you want to add the transition to first.

Read the minimum specs on apple’s FCP X site… see if your computer is compatible. I seem to be running it OK on an older 3 gig tower that doesn’t have a “supported Open CL graphics card”… the new laptop here is totally compatible. Haven’t run it enough on on the tower yet to see what i don’t get but hey, it seems to run OK. at least for learning.

I read the license agreement, and it states that you can use it on your “computers”… I didn’t see a mention of limitation on how many… Might take a look at the license agreement, it’s pretty short actually.

Well, I just signed in to the App Store using my Apple ID, and clicked buy (boy that was quick and scary easy to do)… Once it installed on the first machine, I could install on the other without purchasing again.
