Sounds to me like you need to export the file at 29.97 not 30…

Sounds right, but never trust any software to delete unused media without using COPY in the process… so if you have an issue, you’ve still got the old media to retry with. Then after checking new sequences connected to new media files, delete the old files.
There’s really no need to create a new project file first though. Just use the current one, and select “create new project” from the media manager, and it will do the job for you creating sequences that are linked to the new shorter media files.

It’s most likely not legal… but then, If Apple allows you to put Compressor on other Macs just to create a render farm for Compressor and Shake…

No, ADC port to DVI will not change any quality at all…

I’d do what you know will work… export a self contained QT movie from motion, and cut it in the sequence in FCP… Also report this in feedback to Apple…

I agree with Mike… get yourself that X800 ati card… I’m wanting one myself and have more card now than the 5200… Seen it as low as $449…

I’m using one of AJA’s mini converters I’ve had since pre IO days. If I were to do it again though, I’d buy an Io LA for the job… perfect combo and works great. With the breakout box it’s all you’s need for anything.

Since no card, no need. This is really something that used to need a second work station card for second workstation a while back.
