Bret’s advice is good I think. Except for the SSD… I can’t tell you how much faster the whole computer feels with it. That said, 128 GB is really not enough unless you only use it professionally, and don’t store all those family pics or iTunes library material.
Buy the RAM from someone other than Apple, and save a bunch.
I’d not be afraid to buy one of the refurbs they sell either. Usually great savings, and it’s a fully warranted machine.
The 17″ adds a lot of screen space over the 15. I’d look at this too. I wanted the smaller machine, but ended up with the 17″ because of the display’s higher res.

Select the clips in the sequence then Uncheck “stereo pair” in the Modify menu.

Call Apple. They can get you going with some sort of proof of purchase. The disks usually take care of it.

FCP 6 is an intel only app… so it won’t run right on that G5. Last version that is supported is FCP 5… (Studio 1).

Stay native in size until the very end. Resizing twice just doesn’t sound like a good idea at all. Do the damage only once.

I dont’ see anything that doesn’t look intentional… do you have a specific shot there for us to look at? or a timecode number on it within the video you’ve posted?

Well… if a single change to all clips will suffice, couldn’t you simply copy the first change to all clips?
You could simply export the audio tracks as a single file, then send that file to Soundtack pro.
