Even though they accept those file formats, it doesn’t mean they have to approve your clip for sale on their site. If it is shaky (no tripod) or of a low quality or not white balanced or the highlights are blown out, etc. they can and will reject your clip.
You may want to inquire as to why they chose to reject your clip.

Shutterstock accepts DV files, WMV files, MOV files, MPEG, and AVI. And they accept the following codecs: Motion JPG, Mpeg-4, and DVSD, DVC and DVCP. You can find that information here under “Submitting Footage”.

k-lite will do all kinds of tricks… on you. Do not install a codec pack as you may wind up doing more harm than good as some of your default codecs that Vegas uses (superior codecs) can be replaced by less stable, less quality codecs.
Download g-spot and see what codec is wrapped in the avi wrapper. Once you know what you are missing you need to find a VFW (video for windows) version of the codec (you may already have it under your Vegas 7 install or app data folder). But once you know what it is, you should be able to find it.
As for the fx used in 7, you will have to provide names if you want specific help. Otherwise, go to the fx’s website and download the most current versions. Some things that work in 7 don’t work in 8 or above unless the creator (or someone else) updates and compiles the code in such a way that it is compliant with the newer version of Sony Vegas.

It really depends on what you are doing so I don’t think anyone here can answer that for you. However, you may want to look into Ultimate S pro 4 (VASST.com), Excalibur (Jetdv.com, Vegasaur, Mike Crash’s filters, New Blue FX, etc. for Vegas Pro 9. If you upgrade to 10, you will have a whole new world opened up to you in regards to plugins as Sony has integrated the OFX architecture into Vegas.b)Should I create Partitions?
I would for your OS drive. I would allot about 20 gigs for the OS and programs (10 if you know that you will not outgrow it). I would use the remainder of the OS drive as a partition for files that are not for Captured or Rendering video (things like pictures, sound fx, etc.) I would not partition the Capture drive or the Render drive (I would add one more hard drive for a total of 3 for this setup). If you must only use 2, then capture to your secondary drive and render back to the Windows OS drive (the secondary partition)c)Antivirus. I would not install that. If you must run something, I would go with the free Microsoft Security Essentials as it is light on resources and still does a good job.d)I also have a Blu-Ray burner.As I’m going to lose my pre-installed programs when I switch to 64bit,what’s the best program to install for playback etc?
I don’t know on this one. Perhaps note the name of what you are currently using and see if you can download it from the web. You could always try VLC (videolan.org) as it is my pc player of choice. (I watch my BluRay discs on my TV, not my PC)2 I’m going to use the G-Raid via e-SATA for my raw footage and current projects.
That leaves me with 2 internal hard drives. Is it best to have one for Windows7 and Programs,and the other to render to?
OR
Is there any advantage of having them RAID 0?
I realise that it’s a risk,but would there be any noticeable advantage?

Redundancy is good. I would mirror them if you have data that is worth keeping. I don’t think you will think it is an advantage to having the “extra speed” if you ever lose a drive or your RAID becomes corrupt.As for drives, partitions and setup, see sub point b above.

Do you have any fx applied to the timeline or media? Did you accidentally adjust the opacity slider on the track header (if it is less than 100% you may notice slower playback)?
When you say 90 speed, do you mean 90 frames per second? Are you sure that is right? Normally this will be 60i, 30p, 29.97, 24p, etc if you are in NTSC land.
Make sure your project settings are equal to your your video clips’ settings.
