Just updated to Vegas 10c….I go to capture video (DV) and I get no window popup as before. This has happened on 2 computers. I have 9 installed as well and same thing.
    Anyone else having this problem?

    Thanks

You need to got into “preferences” and under the video tab,
uncheck “use external video capture application”
    And see what happens.

Put a shortcut to C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 10.0\VidCap60.EXE on your desktop.
No need to launch Vegas to do a simple DV capture unless you really need to.

I tried to run that file from it’s folder and I get an error…weird. Also, if I use WinDV, does it split the files at the takes (when camera is stopped) as in Vegas?
    Thanks guys!

Yes you can set it to capture split scenes or one whole capture
if you like…and it will never drop frames during capture.

But still puzzled why your Sony capture utility is fuzzing out.
