Or, if you have the creative suite that contains Fireworks you can simply save it as a fireworks file (png) and it will show up automatically with a transparent background in Vegas.

Where is your temporary storage for audio? Make sure it has enough space available for storing your file. You can check by looking at your properties.

Just click on it. You must install Virtual Dub and place the New Deshaker script in the scripts folder… but now that I think about it, it comes with in installer that does all of this for you.

Can you verify that you installed it correctly and that you have both vdub and the New Deshaker installed?

    Hi Jeff,

I use this (and have used it when you had to hand code the perimeters in vdub for it to work). With the new deshaker, you simply call it from the script folder in Vpro8 after you have selected the event to “deshake”. Make sure it is not a lengthy selection as I find that it works better with smaller-sized events. Once it completes, you will see it has replaced the event on the timeline. If you don’t like how it turned out you can change the parameters or simply right click the event and choose the other take- the other take will be your original event.

    Hope this helps.

Not that I know of. I just tried to pull up the new deshaker GUI and couldn’t get it to work in 64 bit Vegas. It will work in 32 bit just fine.

Another reason to install the 32 bit is you are able to use more plugins than you would in 64 as most are not coded for 64 bit editors.

    What are your system specs?

    What FX?

What Content makes up the timeline?

What settings are you using for encoding?

    What are your project settings?

Anything else you want to add that would help us help you would be great.

  • I had this problem when a veg file of mine became corrupt after a lighting strike. It progressively got worse and I had to recapture the footage and start from scratch on a new drive.

I would give this a go- capture again and see what happens with a new veg file. You don’t have to capture the whole thing, just a portion of the tape that you know is having problems. This will rule out tape and/or capture if it is one of the two.

I have read that others have been very pleased with this proc. I’m sure you will as well. You may want to look at going the 64 bit route and utilizing more ram.

A work around would be to output it to some flavor of avi that you are okay with using. This way it will allow you to place that portion back on the timeline and continue rendering where you left off. Just render out looped sections.

With you only having 2 gigs of ram and using magicbullets that could be your issue. Do you happen to have any image files on the timeline? Jpeg perhaps? If so, convert them to png and size them down to a little over your project settings. This could help tremendously.
