Thanks for all the info. I beleive all the RAM that AE can use is 3GB but the rest can be used for background processes. I finally figured out how to do a command prompt for a 3 GB switch in Vista.
I tried rendering out last night but am still getting the image buffer error for an image 5001 by 3336. Hopefully messing with those settings mentioned in the link you provided will help. -
I replaced the original two with my third choice for an export which was a wmv file. For some reason it came in pretty good this time aside from washed out details, the sparks I have in the comp are barely visible.
What compression utility do you recommend? Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks for the response. I tried googling AAC as well and got tired of sifting threw all the garbage and had no luck. I’m on a p.c. currently. My main question I guess would be if that codec is a preset in after effects and if not how can I acquire it. I will try posting in the forum you mentioned. It is very fustrating completing projects on to be held up by the export process.

This is an HD video and Vimeo’s first response was to change from the H.264 video codec to MP4.

I got kind of lost at the last part. I am working in CS3 with a dual 2 Ghz processor (AMD Turion) and 2 Gigs of RAM.
I am however working with a new problem, keep getting an error message: ram preview needs 2 or more frames for playback. I cannot even preview at this point so it keeps getting better. -

January 9, 2009 at 10:03 pm in reply to: Layers not interacting correctly in 3D cam environmentI don’t have the first idea on how to link a project, at least where to host an ae file.
I’m trying to pan or orbit from one side of square to the other, left to right, and sides of the cube are disappearing depending on the layering order, the main trouble i am having is with the arched text since it overlapse the right and left side of the cube. It’s going right into the middle of the side of the cube when it’s clearly been placed above it. Hard to explain. This is probably something that would have to be seen,it’s 13 layers so far. I’m new at the camera, or at least trying to create 3d objects encorporated with 2d.

August 28, 2006 at 9:01 am in reply to: How to increase quality of pictures used for videoYou definetly need to have the pictures close to the size of your output, blowing them up past 110% will give you very noticable distortion. It also depends on the dpi of the pictures as well, for normal ntsc video all you need is 72 dpi, if the pictures are at a higher resolution you may be able to enlarge them a bit. Also always view your results on a reliable monitor.
thanx,
