HD export to Vimeo from AE CS3
I am currently trying to upload a short 30 second clip from AE CS3 on my pc based laptop to vimeo with hd resolution. It is coming in very distorted. Vimeo’s first suggestion was to export as an MP4. No luck with that. The next suggestion was to change my audio codec to AAC. I cannot find this codec in the presets and do not know how to acquire it. They said this may interfer with the video quality? Sounds strange.

What do you mean by that?
There are plenty of much better programs for the PC for encoding stuff. AE is not really designed for that at all.

I replaced the original two with my third choice for an export which was a wmv file. For some reason it came in pretty good this time aside from washed out details, the sparks I have in the comp are barely visible.
What compression utility do you recommend?Thanks,
