I don’t know what lenses you are planning on using, but many get great results even with old manual Nikons. You will also need a relay lens to go between the HPX2000 and the Letus adapter. Or you could go in the opposite direction of what Mark suggested and try to enhance the glare by adding a lens flare or some glow. Make it look cool. After Effects is a very powerful tool that can do nearly anything in the right hands. Just prepare to spend the rest of your life learning it!

You could play with taking some of the red out of the image with the color corrector. There is also the old beauty stand-by of duplicating the clip above itself, adding blur to the top layer and then playing with the opacity. Done judiciously, it can really help.

You can easily disable the related videos in the embedding options. What I really like about YouTube is all the great info they give you on where your views are coming from. With support for HD, YouTube videos can look very good now. I also like the ability to embed a playlist on a site and how it automatically updates when I change the playlist.

Nice analogy. I’m still using FCP 5 myself. Works great! Total stability for years on end. I’ll worry about upgrading software when I’m ready for a new Mac Pro.
