    That would result in the same,
    paste this_comp.layer(“your3Dlayername”).to_comp([0,0]) in the 2D position of your lens-flare.

    something like this ?

    xmove=500;
    pos1=value;pos2=add(value,[xmove,0]);
    linear(time,inPoint,outPoint,pos1,pos2)

    October 6, 2010 at 10:56 am in reply to: Projecting 3D to 2Dcomp

    thanks for the offer,
    but I’ve got it solved now.

    Mylenium pointed me to the “Lensflare” script on Dan Ebbert’s site
    (https://www.motionscript.com/masteri…lens-flare.html)
    seems like I was “looking” at my script the wrong way. A new view on it helped a lot.

    fixed it with this:

    L1=thisComp.layer("Bol1");L2=thisComp.layer("Bow1");
    p1=L1.transform.position; p2=L2.transform.position;
    delta = sub(p1, p2); ang=(Math.atan2(delta[1], delta[0]));
    radius=269;L1size=900/2;x=radius*(Math.cos(ang));y=radius*(Math.sin(ang) );
    L1.toComp([L1size-x,L1size-y,0])

    February 15, 2010 at 1:45 pm in reply to: Scaling a Mask?

    Masks can not be scaled globally,
    one way is…
    – Copy your mask to a same sized Solid
    now use that solid as an Alpha matte on top of your footage
    try if you can scale the new Solid (mask will scale with it)

    another way is…
    – check
    https://aescripts.com/keytweak/
    haven’t tested it yet but it looks like it does the job.

  • [Terry Hahin] “The blackmagic intensity and consumer grade HDTV runs about 1k for 8bit through HDMI. Not too shabby for a starter option. How does it look to your eyes? Much gradient / color banding with the 8-bit output through regular HDMI?”

    banding ? sure there’s banding 😉
    – it’s a bugdget solution
    – is it wrong to see banding ?
    keep in mind that -if you have the perfect setup,
    so you can view 16 or even 32bit you won’t see any banding.
    but once your file leaves your computer, the problems will arise.
    – DVD’s are 8 bit
    – Digital from cable company to Client at home is 8 bit
    – Consumer grade LCD-panels are 8 bit

    so, you’d better avoid banding to start with and see how the customer gets to see it.
    Calibrating your setup is more important than viewing in 10 bit.

    Before i start a project i’ll always ask what the final product will be…
    … and it’s never a high-end reference monitor.

    >as far as I remember, DVI was 8 bit and HDMIv1.3 extended to 16 bit sRGB

  • Take a look at the Blackmagic Intensity or Intensity-Pro,
    they’re quite cheap!
    I have one running quite a while now.
    Used XP64 and now on Windows7-64 connected to a Philips HD LCD.
    Running FullHD 8bit 25fps without a problem !

    July 3, 2009 at 2:45 pm in reply to: CS4 on Windows 7 RC1 Zooming Problem

    I’ve been test-running Windows7 RC1 64bit with CS3 (can’t check for CS4) and everything seems well here,… even better than XP64.
    Memory-management is a lot better in W7.

    what you can do:
    -Plug you mouse in another usb-port so it reloads the drivers
    -Install drivers for you mouse
    (Some Logitech mouses seem to need their own drivers)
    -Check it out with another Mouse

  • You can create an Output Module with Stretch or Crop settings,
    just keep your Pal Composition and let the Output Module scale down to 640×480
