I dropped an h264 (16×9) 720p clip into a 720×480 (4×3)sequence, and it shows as a letterbox clip, except that though it plays in letterbox, when I hit stop, the black part of the letterbox (Top & Bottom) changes from black to a video blur of the first and last active line…
However, after hitting stop and seeing the blur, I can get letterbox back by jogging fwd or back one frame and pix returns to letterbox…This action is repeatable, and appears to be a feature of PPRO CS 6.0.4.
I’ve been able to duplicate the action with shuttle pro knob too…
I vote for V6.0.5 !!

Disable UAC and try again…. (You can always put it back again).
I had an issue with CS6 and Matrox MX02 that wouldn’t let me load Encore, from the program itself or Via DL from Premiere.

That is another reason to stay at CS6
I disagree with CC premise as a tool. It seems more like a profit center.
I don’t mind paying for updates, but not monthly.
And, I absolutely disagree with the loss of Encore…. Most of my jobs involve delivery via DVD or BR, or along with DVD or BR.
Therefore, my decision was made for me, by Adobe! Stay at CS6….

This happened on a Windows System…
I’ve since made both DVD & BR disks without this error, so I guess it was a solution!

May 16, 2013 at 2:22 am in reply to: Audio track slightly longer then Video Track…won’t adjust properly to sync!I have seen strange Sorensen results when it compresses something where the audio and video have different lengths… Pops, out of sync A/V….
I’d make sure the audio and video length by adding silence to match the lengths, and see if that helps the issue.

I inadvertently hit the Solution button looking for the EDIT button to edit the above post… Mods please delete the “Solution” Indicator… as it may not be a solution…
It has something to do with the position of the Encore Marker on the MPEG video clip imported into Encore after the PPRO Dynamic Link.

This is not affected by loading, saving, or re-naming session, only fails on Building a DVD operation, and I believe it is failing on Submen, not main menu (Because Submenu and MPEG video was only things recently added to the project.. Note again that there are no errors in the project when ‘checked’ before DVD Build.
I Eventually found a work around….
It has something to do the posited
I removed Encore marker, and put it back in again in a slightly different location (It was just before a fade up from black), and then the DVD Build completed normally!!! (Without any of the before mentioned errors that halt DVD Build). One final note: After this work around was found, I realized that the menus I used was set for 4:3. I changed the format to 16×9 and following DVD Build was successful. I only post this in case the aspect ratio of Menu vs. project had anything to do with it…
Got me!!!

I love DL and the way Premiere and Encore interact!

I try to set aside money for upgrades. I’m thinking I’ve probably paid 4 or more times the retail price for the software over the years.
I’m one of those who likes to have the software here at my side. However… As a Hobbyist, I can’t push through another monthly bill.
And if Software stays as is (CS6)… Hardware then doesn’t need to evolve.
With all the Oil-Based cost increases we’ve absorbed over the years, this action could mean great changes for the “Hobbyist” market that Adobe has.
My $.02

Do you have some of the footage you could post somewhere so that others could try it?
The pictures posted make it look like corrupted footage or timebase errors.Looking for 1939 Indian Motocycle
