Premiere Pro CS 6.0.4 Available now!
Posted by David Mcgavran on August 14, 2013 at 7:23 pmHi All,
A blog post will be coming later today with more info. We have released a 6.0.4 update for CS 6 users. This fixes the AVCHD clip spanning issue and some other critical bug fixes.
Enjoy

August 20, 2013 at 5:58 pmI have submitted a bug report. Update 6.0.4 has borked H.264 video imports. After import, after the file has been conformed audio and video have drifting OOS (Out Of Sync) issues. Manual syncing is impossible because after a few seconds it just drifts out of sync again.
I’ve done all the usual problem solving things. Cleaned media cache, deleted media cache folder and re-imported… I even deleted the cache of an old project where I know everything WAS working. After they re-conformed they are now all out of sync too. Thank God the finals were al exported.THIS IS A MAJOR BUG. I have been able to repeat it. And to be perfectly honest I’m kinda pissed that adobe would release such a huge bug in their software.

August 22, 2013 at 1:27 amI dropped an h264 (16×9) 720p clip into a 720×480 (4×3)sequence, and it shows as a letterbox clip, except that though it plays in letterbox, when I hit stop, the black part of the letterbox (Top & Bottom) changes from black to a video blur of the first and last active line…
However, after hitting stop and seeing the blur, I can get letterbox back by jogging fwd or back one frame and pix returns to letterbox…This action is repeatable, and appears to be a feature of PPRO CS 6.0.4.
I’ve been able to duplicate the action with shuttle pro knob too…
I vote for V6.0.5 !!

August 22, 2013 at 2:15 amThe above was fixed by going into modify/interpret footage and forcing pixel aspect ratio away from file which was square pixels, to 16:9 which was close.

August 25, 2013 at 1:37 pmAfter trying to co-exist with 6.0.4 for an entire evening, and altering the buttons in my shuttle pro knob so as to add zoom in and out buttons to help get around the source monitor mark in/out issues, I finally threw in the towel, and used Acronis to restore to V6.0.3…..
I saw the bugfix list that 6.0.4 had, and it is very impressive…. It’s a shame that it wasn’t beta-tested, as had it been, these obvious bugs would have been reported…
