I installed the 32 bit as you recommended. Strange thing is that on some of the MXF the video and audio showed on the timeline correctly. Not all files but some.

Later when I tried using the 32 bit program, after rebooting the computer it did not show the video portion – was again like it was audio only.

So installing the 32 bit program did not solve the problem. Thanks Mike!

Mike, it was recorded with a Sony X1U and then he converted to mov. Luckily he sent the tape and now I’m trying to find a way to play it. Thanks, James

No I do not. Just recommend you compare to what Olof has. He has satisfied customers in other forums just for the Canon XF-305.

    Good luck, James

I am in the similiar situation and will also be adding a nano flash. Olof makes a bracket for the XF-305 and has many options.

February 23, 2011 at 5:55 pm in reply to: slow rendering times with i7 Sandy Bridge

As it turned out I did not have all the correct drivers installed and probably had a few things in the bios set incorrectly. I hired a tech to go over and it is working better now. Much faster than before. James

I am aware of the problems with the sata ports. I do not believe that is affecting my renderling times. Plus I am using 2 of their 6 gig ports which are unaffected by the problems.

    Thanks, James

December 4, 2010 at 3:22 pm in reply to: working (slowly) with big files in Vegas 10a

Mike and David, Thanks for your advice.

Maybe an interim step would be to upgrade to Win 7 Pro and increase the ram to 8 gig, as David recommended.

Would you recommend installing Win 7 Pro OEM, instead of the upgrade Win 7 Pro? Seems like it is always better to start with a fresh install. And the OEM version is less expensive…

    Thanks, James

July 8, 2010 at 4:37 pm in reply to: DVDA Pro 5.0b rewind

Thanks John, Actually my nagivation is somewhat complex.

It starts with a short intor video (30 seconds) then goes to the menu. From the menu for a lession it goes to part 1 then graphic then part 2 then graphic then part 3 then graphic then part 4 and back to menu.

From the menu you can select one of the three bonus. Plays each section then back to menu.

I will look at that particular program. Still seems simplist might just be to go ahead and re-render it.

I just wanted to make sure there was something I was missing in DVDA and it appears there is not. Thanks again! James
